Custom Fabricated Donor Sculpture - Phoebe Healthcare

The Phoebe Foundation constructed a new trauma center in Albany, Georgia, and to honor those who contributed to its development, the foundation commissioned a donor sculpture for the main stairwell. Towering at 48 feet, the sculpture features a 1.25-inch diameter CNC-bent steel tube, suspended by stainless steel wire rope anchored into a ceiling-mounted steel plate.

Beneath the structure, 250 individual donor plaques recognize those who made the project possible. Each plaque was laser-cut, finished with custom-painted vinyl, and personalized with a donor’s name. To add a dynamic visual element, the bottom of each plaque was fitted with dichromatic vinyl, shifting colors depending on the light’s angle.

Since the trauma center was fully operational at the time of installation, our team worked three consecutive night shifts to complete the project—ensuring minimal disruption while we constructed the sculpture.
